Happy Black Country Day Everyone!

While we have none of the usual events for this time of year.
Rather more poignantly ,
today is a day to look at your community around you & feel grateful.

While the official date is chosen to mark the invention of the Newcomen engine which kick started the industrial revolution our industrial past. What we really celebrate on Black Country Day is each other & our community

We have all been hit by challenges of late, some more than others, indeed far more in some cases, but one thing we have witnessed consistently is the indomitable spirit of Black Country folk & the humour which underscores our culture.

These traits have really come to the fore over the last few months & celebrating that culture is essentially what the Black Country Festival is about.
